Bunny Parties

 She was adopted from the Inland Valley Humane Society. She was picked up as a stray, her long hair heavily matted And she could barely move as the mats were intertwined and limiting her movement. When adopted, she had been shaved, but randomly, some long hair, some short hair and some bald spots. She had stitches in her tail and she felt like she didn’t fit in or look like the other bunnies. We wrote a story about her and how it’s what’s inside that counts. She is now a beauty, both inside and out and teaches us that it’s not where you start but how you finish. I hope you get a chance to meet her!

A much loved girl but as they say, bunnies make more bunnies and her previous owner found that they multiplied just like they say they do. What does one do when you run out of space? You find a new place for some of your bunnies. We’re so glad to have her here. She is an all time favorite with her cute little body and round little head with tiny little ears and big blue eyes. She is a Netherland Dwarf  who has captured the hearts of all who meet her!

Willow is an English Angora who loves a sip of tea with her biscuit. She speaks with  a melodic English accent and her very essence is one of whimsy and enchanted tales from the enchanted forest! She was purchased from a local breeder for quite a bit of money and found herself passed around to several homes where her last one found she didn’t have the time to care for Willow and her cagemate. By the time they got here, they both were in pretty bad shape from neglect. They have both healed and are now healthy. What kind and forgiving, precious little spirits they are. Their hair is some of the softest you will find and their calm demeanor makes them perfect to teach others about kindness and care for others. 

With a name like Starfish, you know there’s a story behind it.
“Starfish” is named after the “Tale of the Starfish” a popular tale of a girl walking along the beach that was covered with dying starfish. As she bent down each time to pick one up, tossing them back into the ocean, a man came along and asked her, why bother? Why waste your energy? There are thousands washed up here baking in the sun. You can’t possibly make a difference. As the girl bent down to pick yet up another one, she replied, I just made a difference for that one, as she tossed it back into the safety of the ocean. 

Starfish was actually sold when he should have been surrendered. He was left in a filthy kennel, emaciated with two other rabbits. No food, no water, just filth. When the buyer showed up to get him, she was told where she could find him and to send payment via Venmo. The woman took one look in the filth and her heart sank. When she took him out of the kennel, she was met with the saddest sight she had seen in a long time, he was skin and bones. She couldn’t leave them there. The car ride on the way home was quiet, sadly quiet. How someone could do this was not comprehendible. I think the name Starfish fits perfectly. He is healthy and his story helps others with knowing there is always hope, and his story also helps others learn responsible animal care. Starfish is a Velveteen rabbit. He also represents the long-loved book titled “ The Velveteen Rabbit”

about a rabbit who only became real after he had been well loved and worn out. It’s a classic and we can’t wait to read it to you. Your heart will melt after you touch his soft fur, it’s surprisingly soft. You’ll see!

Busy busy busy. We all know someone that just can’t sit still. Always changing something, rearranging, always curious. Put it here, no put it there. This is Meadowlark. Let’s move dirt, no let’s move the bowl, let’s take the hay out and rearrange the bed,  no let’s put it here, no let’s put it there. She’s always on the move. An English Lop known for their super long loppy ears. She has a classic look to her. A big girl with a bigger personality. She’s sure to win your heart. She is pure sweetness. We think you will love her as much as we do! She looks like she jumped right out of a story book, perhaps she did?

What’s cuter than a miniature bunny with big blue eyes and those petite little ears? He’s absolutely adorable and he can’t wait to meet you!  is a Netherland dwarf, the smallest breed of rabbit.  He may be small but he has a huge heart and loves to sit with children and be read to.  He loves the sound of soft voices and silly giggles.
